SAPAL announces expansion of its chocolate portfolio

The Swiss manufacturer SAPAL signed a commercial agreement on December 18th, 2023 with
MACS, an Italian company based in Bologna.
MACS is a well-known manufacturer of innovative high quality packaging machines,
particularly in the confectionary and food industry segment. SAPAL can build on its experience
of more than 115 years in the chocolate industry, but also in the processed cheese and bouillon
industries.
MACS has a full range of state-of-the-art machines ready to be marketed and Sapal will
leverage its excellent sales task force and well-proven customer service to sell the machines
globally.
Thanks to this collaboration, Sapal will extend its chocolate wrapping machines offering.
The first machine to be presented at the Prosweets 2024 in Cologne (January 28th to 31st) will
be the CHOCOMAXX, a multistyle wrapping machine guaranteeing a production of up to
600ppm depending on the format. But more machines will soon be released on the market.
“This first step of cooperation between MACS and SAPAL is representing a perfect marriage,
merging the great SAPAL experience and solidity on the chocolate market with the high
technology level and innovative approach of MACS machines " says Mr. Marchioni, CEO of
MACS.
„We at SAPAL are very excited and proud to have the MACS team joining forces with us to
become a leading player in chocolate wrapping through outstanding innovation, quality and
service", concludes Dietmar Gundel, Chairman of SAPAL SA.
