About Ph. D. Mathilda Freund
Dr. Matilda Freund is currently Treasurer for the European Hygienic Design & Engineering Group (EHEDG) and President, Freund Consulting Company. She has over 30 years of experience in the food industry and recently retired from Mondelez International where she served as Global Vice President of Food Safety. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Global Consumer Quality as well as overall Quality for Europe. In addition to the mentioned roles, she also held positions in areas such as Sanitation, Research and Development, and Production Management.
Dr. Freund holds a Master’s and a PhD in Food Science and Human Nutrition as well as a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida.
