The event
Generative AI is no longer confined to research labs – it’s part of daily life. From sketching worlds with words to testing scientific ideas once unthinkable, it inspires, accelerates, and empowers. Designers imagine in minutes, scientists explore in days, and ordinary people create the impossible. Yet shadows remain: AI’s power can heal or harm. As the UN warns, stakes are vast and what we build can lift humanity or deepen divides. Every output hides costs – energy, bias, plagiarism risks, and fears of lost livelihoods. This session begins with a belief: AI belongs to all. Its benefits must be shared, not hoarded. And design must stay human, driven by empathy, creativity, and responsibility. Together we’ll ask: how to open access without new wounds, reduce harm while amplifying possibility, and ensure this technology serves society - not rules it.
