The choice of printing inks, adhesives and varnishes has a decisive influence on the recyclability of packaging, both for films and paper packaging. In his lecture, Peter Désilets shows what effects these materials have on the recycling process and what quality losses are associated with them.

When selecting packaging materials, often only the basic material of the packaging is considered according to sustainability or even recycling aspects. However, inks, varnishes and adhesives can have a decisive influence on the recyclability or the quality of the recyclate.
