About Thorsten Kiss
“I love Riesling, Burgundy is my life, but I would die for German sparkling wine.” (original quote 2014, Meininger Verlag).
Growing up in a four-generation house on the Badische Bergstrasse, influenced by my great-grandmother, my love of German cuisine and local fruit began.
After my first career as a graphic designer and deejay, I came to wine - I still live creativity today in label designs and social media strategies.
I am an IHK sommelier with WSET 3, 8 awards in 15 years - most recently three times in a row TOP50 Sommeliers (Busche Verlag). As a hobby chef, I am fascinated by food pairing: harmony & contrast, from Riesling Kabinett to apple pie to chocolate with port wine.
Always accompanied by music that translates wines into melodies - from industrial-electro Riesling to 80s Sauvignon. Wine, food, music - endless combination possibilities.
My mission: to make wine understandable and share enthusiasm.
