Hello, we are the LOHAS

Allow us to introduce ourselves - we are the LOHAS!

In the USA, LOHAS make up around 30 per cent of the population, in Germany their share is estimated at around 15 per cent - and this number is set to continue rising in the future. They cultivate a "Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability".

Their way of life is focused on health and sustainability.
New values, new consciousness - people are focusing inward when it comes to their human needs. They are changing their lifestyles towards self-awareness, a stress-free life at a slower pace, health, sustainability and reliability.

 

All of this leads to a demand for products and services that make sense in terms of economy and health.

 

Five empirical types represent specific LOHAS mentalities:

 

  • The moralists with conservative values (m/f)
  • Status-oriented people (m/f)
  • People oriented toward family and responsibility(m/f)
  • The connoisseurs (m/f)
  • Citizens of the world (m/f)
In a special area, we introduced these five empirical types to the confectionery industry and provided you with information on how the packaging industry can contribute in this regard.
